A unique piece

Each dial is personalized and made bespoke: a map of the sky with the stars from the day, time and place that are dear to you, thus, making each watch a unique piece. A subtle way to free time, from a happy or promising moment, and to freeze it for eternity.

An easy way to carry a secret

At nightfall, after being activated by a UV light, the drawn stars come to life and light in order to illuminate the chosen moment, thus suspending the passage of time. A new invitation to free oneself from time. A unique and meaningful timepiece.

A first in watchmaking

Each starry sky dial is custom-made through transfer of the stars. We obtain the position of the stars through an algorithm of 1600 constellations, around a repetitive 4-year cycle. Thus, we are able to determine the starry sky for a moment in the past or in the future. This algorithm is based on the book “Calculs astronomiques à l’usage des amateurs” (Jean Meeus, Société astronomique de France, Paris, 1986).

Creation and availability

Indicate a date, a place and a time under “a lucky star” and we obtain the position of the stars for this place and this precise moment. The constellations are transferred onto the dial with successive layers of white ink. Each star is then filled one by one with superluminova. These light up after being exposed to a UV light.

Trilobe's Initial Project

This watch with a starry sky was Trilobe’s initial project. Facing such technical
complexities, this project was developed in parallel with the collection “Les Matinaux”.
It took two years of R&D to reach the final result with a personalized
watch in an intimate and poetic way.

A precious enclosure

To the Secret watch, Trilobe has now added an extra layer of personalisation: a starry case. Under a cover made of bluish sycamore and cedar wood marquetry, a sky map, the result of Trilobe innovation, becomes a decorative element of a precious enclosure. A bespoke starry sky reflecting the day time and place that are dear to you, thus making each case a unique piece.

Elie Bleu puts his creativity at the service of his productions, working with noble materials and respecting the traditions of which he has been the guarantor for nearly 45 years, and for the first time in a personalised work. Specialised in precious boxes, the craftsmen and manufacturer perpetuate the know-how of master cabinet makers. The high standards of quality and technicality achieved in the making of this exceptional product echo those respected by the master watchmakers of La Chaux-de-Fonds who developed Trilobe watches.

An aromatic purpose

Initially designed to house the watch, this case can also take on a more aromatic role. Indeed, this large blue lacquered box can accommodate up to forty Robusto cigars in the best conditions thanks to the integration of a humidifier and a needle hygrometer. For cigar lovers, this exceptional box is the result of a unique collaboration with the Parisian cabinetmaker Elie Bleu.
